Continental Appoints Plant Manager of New Braunfels, Texas, Plant

Brandon Lane will oversee all aspects of the New Braunfels plant operations, including production, quality control, and employee and community relations.

Continental announced Brandon Lane has taken over as the plant manager of its New Braunfels, Texas, facility. The New Braunfels plant, which opened in September 2022, is an integral part of Continental’s global network, specializing in the manufacturing of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) products.

In his new role, Lane will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the New Braunfels plant operations, including production, quality control, and employee and community relations.

“Brandon brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in manufacturing to this role,” said Ibro Muharemovic, head of the Autonomous Mobility Business Area, Continental North America. “His deep understanding and extensive leadership within Continental will be instrumental in driving the continued success of our New Braunfels plant.”

Lane joined Continental in 1993 and has held various leadership roles throughout the organization, including in industrial engineering and production management. Most recently, Lane was the plant manager and head of location in Frankfurt, Germany where he was responsible for the operation of the plant, production targets, and maintaining a safe working environment. He brings more than 30 years of Continental experience to the Longhorn state.

“I am excited to return to the U.S. and lead the talented team in New Braunfels,” said Lane. “I am committed to building on the incredible progress and excellence that has been fostered and to ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality products to our customers around the world.”

The New Braunfels automotive manufacturing location is the company’s first greenfield plant to be built in the U.S. dedicated to Continental’s Autonomous Mobility business area. The facility is an investment of more than $110 million in the future of mobility and the community, creating more than 400 jobs since its opening, according to Continental.
