Kukui Corp. has landed on the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 2015 Top 50 Fastest-Growing Private Companies List. The company, which makes marketing software for automotive repair shop owners, was ranked eighth after growing its revenue from $629,362 in 2012 to $4.2 million in 2014, an increase of 561 percent.
Kukui has grown by providing auto repair shops with a way to measure the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns. In addition to offering analytics, the company’s product suite also includes smart Web pages that are optimized to boost a shop’s leads and conversion rates; a simple-to-use content management system that is integrated with a shop’s point-of-sale system and customer retention tools such as email service reminders.
To be named to the list of Silicon Valley’s Top 50 Fastest-Growing Private Companies by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, companies must be privately held for all three years covered by the award period. The firms also must be headquartered in the Silicon Valley, have at least a three-year sales history, an increase in revenue in fiscal year 2012 over 2014 and must have had at least $500,000 in sales in 2012.
“We’re extremely proud of the growth we’ve achieved and thank our clients for their support and recognition of the power of our platform,” said Kukui CEO Todd Westerlund. “We plan to continue innovating to provide our clients with the data they need to run their businesses effectively.”
Kukui was featured in the Oct. 16 edition of the Silicon Valley Business Journal and was honored at an awards ceremony on Oct. 15. The firm also was named for the first time this year to Inc. Magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies, claiming the 76th spot on the list.
