Kerry Shiba Named CFO of Superior Industries

Shiba most recently was senior vice president, CFO, chief restructuring officer and president for Remy International's original equipment business unit.

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Kerry Shiba has been named senior vice president and CFO of Superior Industries International. He succeeds Emil (Bud) Fanelli, the company’s vice president and corporate controller since 1997, who had been serving as interim CFO for the past 12 months.

Shiba most recently was senior vice president, CFO, chief restructuring officer and president for Remy International’s original equipment business unit. Prior to that he held a number of senior management positions with Kaiser Aluminum Corp., including senior vice president and CFO, and also served in senior financial management roles with The BF Goodrich Co. Shiba began his career as a certified public accountant at Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young LLP).

“Kerry’s experience in the automotive supply and aluminum fabricating industries makes him ideally qualified for his role with Superior,” said Steven Borick, chairman, CEO and president. “He brings extensive financial and manufacturing acumen to the company, and I am confident he will be instrumental in helping to achieve our corporate objectives.”

Shiba earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and political science, magna cum laude, from Baldwin Wallace College. He currently serves on the board of directors of Universal Building Products Inc. and Ramsey Industries LLC.
