Joseph Berquist Named Vice President/Managing Director for Quaker Chemical North America

Berquist moves into his new position with more than 13 years of experience with Quaker, resulting in a strategic background and direct experience in Quaker's Steel, Metalworking and Fluid Power businesses. Previously, he was senior director -- Commercial, Quaker North America.

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — Joseph Berquist has been promoted to vice president/managing director of Quaker Chemical’s North American operations. Previously, he was senior director – Commercial, Quaker North America.

Berquist moves into his new position with more than 13 years of experience with Quaker, resulting in a strategic background and direct experience in Quaker’s Steel, Metalworking and Fluid Power businesses. He joined Quaker North America in 1997 as a technical service specialist, quickly moving into product management and sales management positions. In 2007 he was named industry business director – Metalworking/Fluid Power, and in late 2008 became senior director – commercial, Quaker North America.  

Prior to joining Quaker, Berquist held a technical manager position at AK Steel in Middletown, Ohio. He holds a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Youngstown State University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.

Berquist lives in Twinsburg, Ohio, with his wife and two children. He will continue to have in office at Quaker’s global headquarters building in Conshohocken, Pa.
