John Tepas Named VP of Engineering for Behr America

Previously a Behr America director and chief engineer, Tepas also is a member of Behr America's Executive Committee.

TROY, Mich. – John Tepas has been named vice president of engineering for Behr America, a leading supplier of automotive air-conditioning and engine-cooling systems.
 
Previously a Behr America director and chief engineer, Tepas also is a member of Behr America’s Executive Committee.
 
Since 2006, Tepas has had overall responsibility for a variety of engineering activities including, new business acquisitions; customer-program engineering groups for GM, Ford, Chrysler and various heavy-truck customers; Vehicle Systems Integration, Electrical Engineering; Air Conditioning Heat Exchangers and Battery Cooling; and Behr’s North America wind-tunnel operations.
 
"John brings a wealth of engineering and management experience to Behr’s executive team," said Dr. Wilm Uhlenbecker, president and CEO, Behr America.  "His diverse product engineering knowledge and global managerial experience are a tremendous asset and will serve our customers well."
 
Prior to joining Behr, Tepas held senior engineering-management positions at GM and Delphi. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y., and has been the recipient of multiple patent awards and intellectual property awards for various HVAC and engine cooling applications.
