Industry Leaders From Different Channels To Discuss the Heavy-Duty Aftermarket’s Future At HDAD ’16

During HDAD ‘16’s panel, “The Aftermarket's Future,” speakers will be asked to prognosticate on the future of the heavy-duty aftermarket from both the customer and the supplier perspectives.

HDMA - LogoThe Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association, the heavy-duty division of the Motor Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), and MacKay & Co. have announced the speakers who will participate in a panel discussion during the fourth Annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue (HDAD) conference, to be held Jan. 25, 2016, at The Mirage in Las Vegas, immediately preceding Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week 2016. Panel speakers include:

  • Tom Clevinger, senior vice president and general manager – Global Truck & Bus, Navistar Inc.
  • Mike Delaney, president and CEO, WheelTime
  • Lee Long, director of fleet services, Southeast Freight Lines
  • Don Sturdivant, CEO, FleetPride
  • Kyle Treadway, president and dealer principal, Kenworth Sales Co.

During their segment, “The Aftermarket’s Future,” panelists will be asked to prognosticate on the future of the heavy-duty aftermarket from both the customer and the supplier perspective, looking at a variety of outlook issues, including:

  • Potential structural changes in the heavy-duty aftermarket over the next five years, and how the aftermarket segments will differ from today
  • Anticipated significant drivers behind the changes ahead and what this may mean for planning
  • Will new potential markets develop and will we see more consolidation of distributors, dealers and supplier?
  • Emerging technologies and how fleets and suppliers will deal with them
  • How the customer base (the fleet) should be expected to change and why
  • Possible shifts in service and parts purchasing practices
