HDA Truck Pride would like to congratulate Triple R Truck Parts on 40 years in business. A huge snowstorm couldn’t dull the enthusiasm of the Savoy family or that of the numerous employees, loyal customers, family members, friends and local fleet owners who attended the celebration on Dec. 15. The festive holiday open house included delicious smoked meats, arcade games and moon bounce for the kids, T-shirts and freebies for everyone, as well as drawings for door prizes. One lucky winner took home a Big Screen Smart TV.
Founded in 1977, Triple R Truck Parts has been serving the medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicle aftermarket for more than 40 years. The business began when Rich Savoy quit his job of 20 years as draftsman for Westinghouse, and decided to go into the truck parts business. Young Ron Savoy was still in high school, but worked after school and eventually half days with his father. With one desk and a single telephone, the pair sold rear ends, transmission and gearing parts out of a trailer. They expanded into rowhouses, next into an apartment building, and eventually purchased a former bowling alley. To date they’ve added enough space to feature for a showroom and warehouse with a total of 35,000 square feet.
The Savoy’s partnership and calculated growth has matured to include valued customers, employees, friends and additional family support. Danielle Savoy also works in the operation and can be found working alongside her husband and father-in-law.
“The Savoys are a respected part of the Eddystone community and some of the finest folks in the commercial vehicle aftermarket,” said Mark Willis, business development manager – HDA Truck Pride. “They have a 35,000-square-foot, customer-centric operation and the customers and suppliers with whom they do business appreciate their dedication and integrity.”
