Heavy-Duty Suppliers Sponsor Northwood University Students At MATS

The students will spend the week assisting event organizers, shadowing industry professionals, attending educational sessions and networking events.

MEMA-HDMA-Join-Anniversary-Logo-VerticalRESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The heavy-duty supplier industry once again has come together to sponsor four Northwood University students to attend the Mid-America Truck Show taking place March 24-28 in Louisville, Ky.

Sponsored by Heavy Duty Manufacturer Association (HDMA) member companies Accuride, Bergstrom, Dana and Pressure Systems International (PSI), the students will spend the week assisting event organizers, shadowing industry professionals, attending educational sessions and networking events. In addition, the students will have the exclusive opportunity to attend HDMA’s 25th Annual Breakfast and Briefing.

The students who will be attending are all currently studying the heavy-duty aftermarket at Northwood and will be able to use their trip to MATS to get a better look at their possible future industry and career. Each student was required to submit an application to attend, with the top four being selected.

“For 25 years, HDMA has been able to offer the unique opportunity to network, educate and promote growth and goodwill within our industry as well as to focus on the expanding global influence of our member suppliers and OEMS,” said Tim Kraus, president and CEO of HDMA. “Now, we have the chance to expose this environment to the next group to join our workforce.

Northwood University offers four-year undergraduate aftermarket degrees, as well as Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designations through its University of the Aftermarket program.
