Hamaton Appoints Technical Support Specialist In North America

Nick Wheeker is joining the Hamaton team to provide extra customer support following a year of growth.

TPMS product specialist Hamaton Inc. has announced the appointment of Nick Wheeker as technical support specialist to help sustain business growth.

Despite the global pandemic, the Michigan-based subsidiary of Hamaton Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. says it had a “hugely successful year and is, therefore, growing its team to provide extra customer support.”

Hamaton Inc.’s services include a TPMS technical support hotline, available seven days a week, for customers who have product-related inquiries, from sensor installation to vehicle relearn procedures. Wheeker will work alongside a dedicated team to answer such calls and carry out vehicle testing to ensure its sensor coverage is up-to-date. In this aspect of his role, Wheeker will learn firsthand how TPMS operates in new vehicles. Not only will he be better equipped to offer advice as a result, but he also will be able to share his knowledge with customers.

Growing up surrounded by family members who forged rewarding automotive careers sparked Wheeker’s interest in the industry at a very young age. Keen to follow in his family’s footsteps, he secured an internship at Yazaki Automotive. During his placement at the global automotive parts supplier, Wheeker took part in data analysis and product validation.

Regarding his new position, Wheeker said, “I am very excited to join the Hamaton Inc. team. Joining a fast-growing company within an industry I love is a fantastic opportunity. I am looking forward to gaining hands-on TPMS experience and supporting our loyal customer base.”

Sales and Technical Support Manager Jake Henderson added, “We cannot wait for Nick to join the team. As the success we have experienced in the past year is set to continue, we must expand our team to maintain the high level of technical support our customers have come to expect. We are confident his communication skills and passion for the automotive industry will be a great asset.”
