Greg O’Neill Named Autonet Mobile CEO

The former Mitsubishi North America president will expand dealer adoption of connected solutions to increase productivity on dealership lots.

Autonet Mobile, one of the world’s first in-car internet service providers, announced that former Mitsubishi North America President Greg O’Neill has taken the reins as CEO and Steven Torok has ascended to the board of directors.

“On behalf of the board of directors and all Autonet stakeholders, I want to thank Steve sincerely for his valuable contributions, which have positioned our company for an exciting future and for his ongoing commitment to our long term success,” said Autonet Board Chairman Roy Vallee. “Greg has performed exceptionally well since joining Autonet, especially in leading marketing and sales, and we are fortunate to have someone with his skills and world-class auto industry experience as our CEO.”

In addition to his eight-year tenure at Mitsubishi, O’Neill led as CEO of NW Auction, and was president and chief operating officer of Newgen, the automotive industry’s premiere aftermarket CRM provider.

“We’re excited to take the same technology we have used with the leading OEMs and bring it to the dealers – who are forging their own connected car experience and are relying on Autonet Mobile’s unique understanding of the market,” said O’Neill. “We have developed a series of products that put the dealer immediately into the connected world and enhance their profitability from day one.”

By utilizing onboard OBD-II diagnostic ports, Autonet Mobile’s Dealer Connect app offers dealership associates real-time access to vehicle data including location, fuel and battery charge levels, as well as summary reports detailing the number of test drives and how long a specific unit has been on the lot.

In addition, customers who choose to subscribe to Autonet Mobile as a service can access vehicle health status, vehicle location and a suite of driver safety apps, while giving dealerships a chance to increase service bay volume by automatically notifying and scheduling service appointments. Dealerships can utilize Autonet Service as a CRM tool regardless of brand.
