Fourteen Tool and Equipment Manufacturers Earn TechShop Magazine’s 2011 Top 5 Tools Award

Award winners are determined based on the number of times a company or product is mentioned by shop owners and technicians in the January 2011 through December 2011 issues of TechShop.

AKRON, Ohio – TechShop – Equipment, Tools & Supplies magazine has announced the winners of its 2011 Top 5 Tools Award. Only 14 manufacturers were awarded this year’s honor.

They are:

·      Bosch
·      Chicago Pneumatic
·      Craftsman
·      GearWrench
·      Ingersoll Rand
·      Launch Tech
·      Mac Tools
·      Matco Tools
·      Milwaukee
·      Mitchell 1
·      Power Probe
·      Snap-on Tools
·      SPX
·      Streamlight

Award winners are determined based on the number of times a company or product is mentioned by shop owners and technicians in the January 2011 through December 2011 issues of TechShop in the Top 5 Favorite Tools section.

Because the winners of the Top 5 Tools Award are picked by the readers of TechShop magazine, it is the only true equipment and tool award chosen by the ultimate customer — the end-user technician or shop owner. It is real recognition of a company’s exceptional brand strength, technological leadership and product innovation by the people who matter most — their customers.

“This award is refreshing for our clients, who spend countless hours innovating new concepts for tools to put in the technicians’ hands,” said Sean Donohue, associate publisher of TechShop. “The Top 5 Tools section is one of our best-read sections in the magazine. Many technicians like to share their success stories and reasons why they love their individual tools. The Top 5 Tools section gives them the opportunity to do both. We simply tally the companies who get mentioned most often by our readers and provide the awards accordingly.”

The winning companies will be presented a Top 5 Tool Award star trophy, and were announced in the January issue of TechShop to the more than 106,000 repair shop recipients and tool and equipment distributors.
