BOLOGNA, Italy Organizers for Autopromotec, Italy’s specialized exhibition of automotive equipment and aftermarket products, scheduled to take place in Bologna, Italy, May 20-24, 2015, are disclosing the first figures gathered through information requests sent by companies interested in exhibiting at the show.
With more than 14 months until the 2015 event, Autopromotec organizers report that 400 information requests have already been sent, a 25 percent increase over the same period in 2012; 76 of them are from international companies. The show organizers say a closer look at preliminary figures reveals some interesting trends: spare parts and car service areas, as well as areas devoted to tire and diagnostic equipment, are almost sold out, even though Autopromotec 2015 is more than a year down the road. Several first-time exhibitors have expressed interest in the Bologna-based show, and as a result, there are now waiting lists for exhibit space in several of the show’s halls.
Renzo Servadei, Autopromotec managing director, commented, “There are many factors behind this growth, I will just mention two of them: first off, many companies are export-oriented, and sell more than 80 percent of their products outside their borders, facing the strong economic growth of low-cost producing countries that come to Europe to acquire cutting-edge technologies. Secondly, technology innovation is taking the fast lane, fueled by regulations, environmental issues and market trends.
"Just think of the challenge posed by infomobility applications, which require increasingly specialized skills in OBD calibration; but then again, the same applies to all automotive aftermarket sectors," Servadei added. "For this reason, and also thanks to the internationalization process started a few years ago, Autopromotec 2015 is now the most important meeting point for supply and demand in the colorful world of vehicle service.”
Autopromotec organizers also have confirmed for the 2015 show some popular events featured in the past few editions, such as: AutopromotecEDU, the arena hosting in-depth discussions on the latest automotive aftermarket topics; IAAM 2015, the International Automotive Aftermarket Meeting heading for the fifth edition; the two side events Industrial Vehicle Service and Filling Station Equipment, the former devoted to products and services for commercial and industrial vehicle maintenance, the latter reserved to fuel station providers.
Additional event-related details will be disclosed by the Autopromotec Show Office in the coming months. To learn more about Autopromotec 2015, click here.
