Epicor Introduces Epicor Eagle N Series Business Management Software For The Automotive Aftermarket

New software features intuitive interface, real-time intelligence and other advanced capabilities to help businesses outservice their competition.

AUSTIN, Texas – Epicor Software Corp. has introduced Epicor Eagle N Series software for the automotive aftermarket, a next-generation business management solution that features a simplified user interface, embedded analytics and streamlined workflows that, according to Epicor, will enable aftermarket parts wholesalers and other users to outservice their competition. The company plans to offer the new Epicor Eagle N Series solution as an upgrade available in conjunction with the next version of Epicor Eagle for Automotive Aftermarket software, currently scheduled to be released in early 2015.

“Epicor Eagle software is a powerful and flexible business management solution for owners of auto parts stores,” said Scott Thompson, vice president, automotive, retail distribution group for Epicor. “Epicor Eagle N Series is now one of the most user-friendly solutions, with advanced features that speed learning and tasks at the parts counter, on the phone and in the back office. Epicor Eagle N Series enables businesses to more easily access and use all of the software’s advanced features, allowing more timely and effective decisions and a superior customer experience.”

The new embedded analytics in Epicor Eagle N Series allow users to instantly access business-critical information to make faster, more effective decisions in order to meet customer expectations and optimize inventories, according to Epicor. Seamless workflows further speed decision-making and simplify scores of business processes to help users of all skill levels more fully leverage the software’s rich functionality. The software also includes the expanded and enhanced Epicor Telepricing application, advanced price rounding capabilities, streamlined special orders processing and improved integration with the Epicor Dynamic Updates eCatalog service, which provides mid-month downloads of Epicor PartExpert replacement parts data.

To further assist users in increasing operational efficiency and providing world-class customer service, Epicor Eagle N Series software features an integrated support bar that delivers in-context, real-time support via Online Help, Advice Line Chat, and Eagle Community assistance. The Eagle Community is a moderated forum through which Eagle users share ideas and best practices.

Built on Microsoft .NET architecture, Epicor Eagle N Series software is easy to install, maintain and extend, and can quickly evolve to address emerging customer needs and industry trends, the company adds.

“With Eagle N Series, a new counterperson or other employee can become proficient in a fraction of the time required with conventional business management solutions for the aftermarket and provide a much higher level of value to the customer,” Thompson said. “This solution will enable independent parts wholesalers to build on their service advantage over national competitors by offering business insight and responsiveness that larger operations can only dream about.”
