Electronics Remanufacturing And Logistics Company CTDI Introduces Reman 8.0 For Servicing Automotive Electronics

CTDI's Reman 8.0 solution is a fully integrated, one-stop service model, tailored to meet individual customer needs and represents eight different services.

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – CTDI, a global leader in electronics remanufacturing and logistics, has launched Reman 8.0 to provide a comprehensive solution for the growing challenges of servicing complex automotive electronics.

CTDI’s Reman 8.0 solution is a fully integrated, one-stop service model, tailored to meet individual customer needs and represents eight different services. The business is backed by the company’s nearly four decades of experience providing engineering, remanufacturing and logistics service solutions for industry leading electronics suppliers and communications service providers on a global scale. CTDI is the largest electronics remanufacturer in the world, performing 7.5 million component level repairs on a wide range of complex technologies annually.

“Unlike the lifecycle of cars, the technology curve for electronics is getting shorter and shorter,” explained Mark Shasteen, vice president for CTDI’s automotive division. “With automotive electronics, the latest generation of devices simply won’t fit or function in older vehicles. In most cases, you need the original design to effectively perform the repair. However, sustaining production capability for older generation electronic parts are increasingly difficult and costly, and in many cases simply not practical. This makes remanufacturing the ideal and often the only option to meet vehicle life cycle demands.”

CTDI’s Reman 8.0 solution is built upon the company’s comprehensive electronics remanufacturing service portfolio, which includes forward and reverse logistics, core management, component level repairs that meet OE standards, warranty screening and sustainable life-cycle solutions. Additionally, CTDI’s Electronic Tracking and Ordering System, (ETOS), offers customers Web-based order management and visibility to all remanufacturing activity. To help service the needs of the automotive industry, CTDI relies upon 60-plus world-class remanufacturing locations in 15 countries including 41 locations throughout North America. This global network is supported by more than 6,500 employees.
