MISSION VIEJO, CA — DST Inc., a technology provider to the parts and service supply chain, has named Alex Nubla as the company’s new Chief Technical Officer (CTO).
Nubla has extensive experience as a consultant, leader and technical expert working for such companies as IBM Global Services, Nissan Motors and Bank of America. He also served as technical editor for four years for Midrange Computing magazine, the primary journal of record for midrange computing professionals.
In his new role as CTO, Nubla will assist DST in broadening its technology-driven product horizons, as well as fine tuning internal development and support processes.
“I’m excited by the challenge and opportunity in my new role at DST,” said Nubla. “The company is a technology leader in the parts and service supply chain and DSTWare is attracting the attention of the industry. In addition to my technical experience and skills, I have also had the ‘hands-on’ experience of meeting a payroll as president of my own company, which enables me to relate to the real world core issues of many of DST’s independently owned distribution and service customers.”
DST President Ray Stover said recent growth within the company created the need for a CTO.
“DST has always been focused on using best-of-breed technology to provide competitive advantage for our customers. We have always invested more than one-third of our revenue in driving our DSTWare suite of products forward and this practice has begun to pay dividends that allow us to increase our technology investment. Our growth necessitates the services of a Chief Technology Officer to help us focus and direct our efforts to harness the best available methods and processes to best serve our customers.”
