Consumer Reports Study Finds Women Know What’s Good When It Comes To Cars

The list of women’s favorite rides is comprised almost entirely of cars that earned top scores from Consumer Reports. According to the publication, the same could not be said about men's choices.

A recent study by Consumer Reports found that when it comes to cars, women want safe, reliable and fuel-efficient transportation.

The magazine’s latest owner satisfaction survey included data on more than 1 million vehicles. In the first year that the results have been separated by gender, Consumer Reports found an interesting, but not-so-surprising fact: Women know what’s good. The list of women’s favorite rides is comprised almost entirely of cars that earned top scores from Consumer Reports. According to the publication, the same could not be said about men’s choices.

  • Tesla Model S
  • Toyota Prius
  • Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan (V6)
  • Subaru Forester (non-turbo)
  • Chevrolet Volt

Men’s Top 5

  • Tesla Model S
  • Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
