ALBION, Ill. – Champion Laboratories has announced that Pete Haskell has joined its team as director of heavy-duty sales. In this role, Haskell will spearhead Champion Laboratories’ initiatives to grow sales for its Luber-finer brand of heavy-duty filters.

Haskell joins Champion Laboratories from Liberty Bell Equipment in Philadelphia, Pa., where he was an area manager for the company’s largest-volume territory, which consisted of southeast Pennsylvania, south New Jersey, Delaware and central New York.

“Pete’s years of experience give him a strong background in marketing, sales and operations, which will be invaluable in his new role as he looks to grow the Luber-finer brand,” said John Casanova, vice president sales and marketing for Champion Laboratories. “We are excited to welcome Pete to the Champ Labs family and look forward to the potential growth he will bring to his new position.”

Haskell, a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, entered the automotive industry in the late 1970s when he joined Dayco Products. After several years with Dayco, he joined Monroe Auto Equipment Co., where he began as a local automotive sales representative before being promoted to district manager for the southeastern Pennsylvania territory. From there, he became Monroe’s first-ever heavy-duty regional manager, with responsibilities for the Northeast United States territory. From Monroe, Haskell moved to Penda Corp., where he was a regional manager before being promoted to OE sales manager for the northeast and, ultimately, to eastern sales manager for Penda’s Smart Ditch Division.
