Brakes Plus and City Garage Join Forces

With the merger, Brakes Plus will now operate 42 stores across Texas, with more than 140 locations across the U.S.

Brakes Plus and City Garage have joined forces to continue building a leading automotive services brand in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. With the addition of City Garage locations, Brakes Plus will now operate 42 stores across Texas, with more than 140 automotive service locations across the U.S.

The merger was finalized Mar. 6 and two former City Garage stores in Dallas feature new Brakes Plus signage. The remaining stores will transition to Brakes Plus branding over the next year, operating as “City Garage by Brakes Plus” locations during the interim, the company said.

“Both Brakes Plus and City Garage have a long heritage of providing friendly service and great value for customers’ automotive service needs, making this merger a natural fit,” said RJ Pisciotta, executive vice president, operations for Brakes Plus. “We will work together to serve all customers with superior products, a knowledgeable team and our continued commitment to quality.”

Brakes Plus expects to retain all retail store employees, in addition to hiring additional positions to support all operations as a result of the merger.
