McHENRY, Ill. Brake Parts Inc. (BPI) has announced new roles and responsibilities within its sales and marketing departments, as a result of shifting marketplace dynamics within the automotive aftermarket. According to BPI, "nimble suppliers shift their organizational alignment to be more receptive to their customer’s changing needs and often improve effectiveness and efficiency for both."
In this spirit, the company has announced that Bruce Tartaglione now has global responsibility for the newly formed BPI marketing and sales team and will serve as the senior vice president of global marketing and sales.
“Bruce has a rich history in the aftermarket and is uniquely qualified to move BPI forward as a true customer champion,” said Dave Overbeeke, president and CEO, BPI.
“Integrating marketing and sales promotes progressive customer focus and supports increased market flexibility,” added Tartaglione. “As BPI continues its forward movement with future growth strategies, this unification will better serve our current and future customer base.”
Prior to his new position, Tartaglione served as the senior vice president of global sales for BPI, growing sales with existing customers, and new business in the OES, retail and traditional market channels. Tartaglione has 35 years of marketing and sales experience working in the automotive market and will lead a team of experienced aftermarket veterans as well as new and promising talent. He is a five-time Young Executive nominee through AAIA, and earned his AAP designation through AWDA University. Tartaglione is a past member of both the AAIA Marketing and Membership Committee and the AWDA Manufacturers Advisory Council. He also is a current member and past board member of the Automotive Sales Council.
