Bosch Announces Changes in Chassis Engineering Division

Robert Bosch Corp. has announced three new appointments within the engineering organization of the company's Chassis Division. Uwe Kirberg has been named senior vice president, engineering services. In this role, Kirberg has overall management responsibility for the Chassis Division's engineering services and application organization in the U.S.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — Robert Bosch Corp. has announced three new appointments within the engineering organization of the company’s Chassis Division.

Uwe Kirberg has been named senior vice president, engineering services. In this role, Kirberg has overall management responsibility for the Chassis Division’s engineering services and application organization in the U.S. Kirberg has been with Bosch for 19 years. Most recently, he was vice president, component engineering development and component design. In addition, he held several engineering positions within Bosch’s Body and Energy Systems Division in Germany as well as positions in engineering and program management with the Chassis Division in the U.S.

Kurt Person has been named vice president, engineering, responsible for brake application and systems engineering for all customers in North America. He also has responsibility for Bosch’s test facilities in Flat Rock, Mich., and Baudette, Minn. He has been with Bosch since 1990 in a variety of engineering management positions. He has more than 18 years of experience in brake and chassis engineering. Most recently, he was vice president, engineering, leading Bosch’s brake application and systems design work on General Motors programs.

With 15 years of experience in brake engineering, Alex MacPherson has been named director, application and system design. In his new position, he will lead Bosch’s brake engineering activities for General Motors and DaimlerChrysler. He has been with Bosch since 1998 as technical platform manager, overseeing projects with General Motors, DaimlerChrysler and, most recently, Ford Motor Co.
