AWE Grows Sales Team, Promotes 2

Michael “Dragon” Johnston was promoted to key accounts manager and Skye Cartwright to account representative.

AWE announced the promotion of Michael “Dragon” Johnston (at left above) to key accounts manager and Skye Cartwright to account representative.

“The promotions will not only allow these team members to become more efficient and focused on their responsibilities, but they will be in a position to further develop their skill sets and open up the necessary bandwidth to grow our wholesale business by dividing and conquering,” says Darron Shubin, AWE’s director of sales.

With AWE for three years, Johnston’s new role will focus on a select group of key accounts to grow relationships, including additional face-to-face connections with the dealer network. He will also support the onboarding of new strategic accounts. Shubin says Johnston has too many cars to mention, but his latest fling is the “AWE Slammed Supra” which has been featured in AWE marketing and product content since its arrival.

Skye Cartright joined AWE in May 2021 as a sales coordinator. “Skye has come a long way in this organization with the ‘no-job-too-small’ mentality, a keen attention to detail and a ‘customer first’ attitude,” says Shubin.  In his new role, Skye will provide AWE’s “white glove” experience to the greater dealer network. Skye is a Subaru Fanatic, never missing an opportunity to bolt something radical to his STI, Shubin adds.
