AutoPartSource Names New VP and General Manager

National undercar parts manufacturer AutoPartSource has appointed Stephen Schnell as vice president and general manager. Most recently with General Motors, Schnell brings more than 35 years of experience in the domestic and international arenas to AutoPartSource. Schnell has led key initiatives in strategic planning, business planning, marketing, competitive analysis, new business development, mergers and acquisitions and finance. His last assignment at GM was as the chief financial officer of GM Service Parts Operations International, a $300 million distributor of automotive spare parts.

RICHMOND, VA — National undercar parts manufacturer AutoPartSource has appointed Stephen Schnell as vice president and general manager. Most recently with General Motors, Schnell brings more than 35 years of experience in the domestic and international arenas to AutoPartSource. Schnell has led key initiatives in strategic planning, business planning, marketing, competitive analysis, new business development, mergers and acquisitions and finance. His last assignment at GM was as the chief financial officer of GM Service Parts Operations International, a $300 million distributor of automotive spare parts.

A significant portion of his experience has focused on international business development and the formation of joint ventures, license agreements and acquisitions. Schnell has led new business development ventures in Europe, Africa and Asia. Notably, he directed the expansion of General Motors into the Chinese market through 12 years of work in the Peoples Republic of China (PRC). While working in China, Schnell originated the project that established the $1.5 billion General Motors Buick manufacturing factory in Shanghai PRC.
