MEMPHIS, TN – The Automotive Distribution Network has released a Microsoft Windows version of Network Connect, the association’s distribution management system for jobbers.
According to Mike Lambert, president of the Network, Network Connect for Windows includes access to Network-specific all-lines cataloging, parts pictures, interchange, buyer’s guide and manufacturers’ prices on all workstations. “Our premier web-enabled management solution from WHI is constantly evolving, with Network Connect technology meeting the ever-changing needs of Parts Plus and IAPA affiliates,” said Lambert.
Since most computer users have at least some experience operating a Windows-based platform, this latest Network Connect version is ideal for new, first-time users of the system. Like all Network Connect platforms, the new Windows version is bundled with WebShop, the Network’s version of WHI’s award-winning Nexpart e-commerce software.
The Network is also currently rolling out a new price-sheet initiative to facilitate electronic updates of Network Connect and member WDs’ pricing files.
“The ability to manage our proprietary price sheets is vital, as price updating continues to be a hot issue in the aftermarket,” Lambert said. “From the marketing side, manufacturers are doing away with price sheets, leaving Network Headquarters to create our own. This latest addition to Network Connect enables our affiliates to download and print their own Network price sheets. With Network Connect for Windows, we can adapt now — efficiently and affordably.”
