The Automotive Distribution Network has named Mike Crockett as the group’s director of information services, in charge of managing the day-to-day operations of the Network Information Services department.
“The Network portfolio now includes e-commerce, electronic order processing, business intelligence, central billing services and product information management,” said Tom Frey, the Network’s vice president of IT. “With several more opportunities for continued growth on the horizon, it became evident the Network needed more structure and organization to manage it all effectively. Mike brings the skills and experience to help us ensure that we continue to produce quality products and services while we continue to grow.”
In his new role, Crockett will oversee the Network’s project management and content management teams, ensuring adherence to agreements and service levels by third-party providers. Specifically, he will be leading projects requiring multiple systems or engagement with multiple departments within the company.
“I plan to leverage my skills, experience and knowledge to help move the Network forward by enhancing solutions and helping increase market share,” said Crockett. “I have a proven track record of facilitating the achievement of business competitive advantage through the application of sound technical and procedural enhancements.”
Prior to joining The Network, Crockett served as manager, Business Solutions & Director Business Intelligence for ServiceMaster and also previously served as solutions architect and IT manager for AutoZone, and director of IT for Evergreen Packaging. Before that, he was director, strategic technologies for Smith & Nephew.
