Basic Functions
Research new U.S. vehicles and their original equipment related to Bosch core business fields. Maintain the research and data in FAS and PIM systems and assist with data tasks related to the Automotive Aftermarket North America (AA-NA) Market Data Warehouse (MDW) Integration.
Primary Responsibilities
Seek out and acquire reliable vehicle and equipment data needed for research of vehicle equipment. Enter new vehicles annually in FAS and PIM systems. Research new US and Canadian vehicles for original equipment (OE) related to Bosch core business fields. Research older vehicles as needed. Enter research data into FAS and PIM systems. Assist Automotive Aftermarket North America (AA-NA) marketing groups with reports from Market Data Warehouse (MDW) systems. Assist AA-NA marketing groups with PaGOS functions. Keep up to date on vehicles in the US and Canadian markets.
Scope Factors
Centralized research function ensures complete research and eliminates double work in the marketing groups. Entering data in FAS assures valid catalog data in FAS and ESI[tronic], which is the basis for a successful Parts & Bytes strategy. Valid catalog data in FAS is required for FAS to be used for AA-NA catalog production.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related major
• 3+ years experience in cataloging and data management techniques
• Ability to develop comprehensive knowledge of state of the art aftermarket data formats and requirements, such as ACES, AAIA Legacy, NAPA Parts Pro
• Ability to develop comprehensive knowledge of Market Data Warehouse (MDW) and local data systems (TMM, PART, PaGOS, ItEMS, JDE, PIM, etc.)
• Good knowledge of NAFTA vehicle population preferred
• Good verbal, written, and platform communication skills
• Strong MS Excel & MS Access skills are required
• Demonstrated electronic database research skills (LexisNexis, etc.).
• A high level of accuracy is required for this position
• German language skills a plus
