ST. LOUIS, MO — James Fournier, retired executive vice president of Associated Equipment Corp., died on March 18 in St. Louis, Mo. He was 69 years old.
Fournier retired as executive vice president of Associated Equipment Corp. in St. Louis in 1993. Prior to his tenure with Associated, he was vice president of marketing of Maremont Corp. in Chicago.
He served as chairman of the board of both the Automotive Service Industry Association and the Car Care Council. Fournier also was active in numerous industry organizations including the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association and the Automotive Sales Council.
“Jim was a true leader in the automotive aftermarket,” said William Drake, president of Associated Equipment. “An energetic and creative member of our industry, he had a host of friends and he’ll be missed.”
Fournier is survived by his wife, Linda Fournier and brother, Gerald Fournier.
