DALLAS The Automotive Oil Change Association (AOCA) has announced that David Saddler will be taking over as the association’s executive director beginning Oct. 1.
Saddler comes to the association after working the past four years for the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) in Arlington, Va. The last two years at AAMVA, Saddler was a senior executive of the association and was responsible for a $3 million budget and a staff of 11.
Prior to his position at AAMVA, Saddler was the associate executive director of the Security Industry Association from 1999 to 2004 and the director of communications at the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association from 1995 to 1999. He holds a B.A. in communications.
Although Saddler will be taking over Oct. 1, current AOCA Director Steve Christie will remain with the association during the transition.
“We again thank Steve for his help during the hiring process and his offer to guide Dave in the first few weeks of his new position,” said AOCA.
