Blue Bird Dealers Now Stocking Performance Friction Brakes

This includes light- and medium-duty hydraulic pads and rotors, as well as heavy-duty air disc applications for all makes, along with aftermarket school bus applications.

CLOVER, S.C. – Performance Friction has announced that North American Blue Bird Dealers are now stocking Performance Friction Carbon Metallic Brake Pads and ZERO FAILURE Rotors for fleet applications. This includes light- and medium-duty hydraulic pads and rotors, as well as heavy-duty air disc applications for all makes, along with aftermarket school bus applications. Blue Bird offers a complete line of Type A, C and D school buses in a variety of options and configurations.

According to Performance Friction, Carbon Metallic stops more quickly and quietly and lasts longer. The company claims its ZERO FAILURE Rotors offer twice the life of any competing rotors as well as the lowest run out and thermal distortion. In addition, Performance Friction says it is the only brake manufacturer to offer a fleet-specific mileage guarantee on pads and rotors. As a result, national fleets have realized up to a 6:1 cost savings in the first year of service.

“Blue Bird is proud to partner with leading brake provider, Performance Friction. This partnership will provide Blue Bird customers with top-notch quality and value, which will assist in keeping Blue Bird buses operating with superior performance. This partnership is a win-win situation for the customers we serve,” said Don Nichols, vice president of Blue Bird Aftermarket Parts.
