HRE Wheels Expands International Sales Team

New sales manager Laurent Lebouder brings two decades of sales experience to the team as worldwide demand for the San Diego-based company's performance wheels continues to grow.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – HRE Wheels says it has been rapidly expanding its international sales arm, with a new GmbH division in Stuttgart, Germany, to support Western Europe and new dealers in emerging markets across Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The latest addition to its sales team, Laurent Lebouder, joins HRE as a new international sales manager to handle customers in Southeast Asia, South America, and the Middle East, as well as assisting with customer support in North America.

HRE designs, engineers and manufactures three-piece and one-piece forged aluminum alloy wheels for racing, performance and luxury cars, as well as SUVs from its San Diego, Calif.-based, TÜV-approved facility. HRE’s wheel sets are built-to-order and offer a customized choice of offsets, widths and finishes, and are sold through select high-end car dealerships, specialty retailers and performance companies worldwide.

“I have always wanted to work for a company that manufactures top-tier luxury goods, and HRE Wheels makes the best product in its market. I’m new to the automotive industry, but as an avid sport bike rider and road racer I am excited to meet customers and experience what the aftermarket has to offer,” said Lebouder.

After moving from France in 1991 to San Diego, Lebouder went to San Diego State University to pursue his degree and at the same time learned both English and Spanish to prepare for a sales role here in the states. With a background in biotech sales, he understands the stringent manufacturing standards and expectations involved when dealing with high-tech consumer goods. His linguistic and diplomatic skills will also be a welcome addition to HRE’s growing multi-lingual sales team, the company adds.

“We are thrilled to welcome Laurent to the team,” said HRE CEO Chris Luhnow. “Two years ago we set out to become more than an aftermarket parts manufacturer – to become a luxury goods design and engineering firm with concierge level service and product so exceptional it is sought-after around the world. As our international customer base continues to grow, Laurent will be a vital part of our team overseas and here in the U.S.”
