SOUTH JORDAN, Utah Vertical Development Inc., a technology company that provides various data management services, web applications and other applications for automotive suppliers, is the newest member to join OptiCat TeamDIO.
As a TeamDIO member, Vertical Development will be providing ACES, Legacy, PIES and other data formats directly to the OptiCat DIO Data Repository, resulting in faster and more accurate data delivery to auto parts resellers, according to OptiCat.
Vertical Development has years of experience helping suppliers manage, format and deliver their electronic data and is uniquely qualified to help exhaust companies implement ACES 3.0, the company says. OptiCat is prepared to receive and deliver data once the industry is ready to accept ACES 3.0 data for exhaust. OptiCat and Vertical Development are the first to deliver this valuable format and its contents to the aftermarket, according to the two companies.
“Our relationship with OptiCat will help the industry continue to progress in its desire to deliver more robust and cleaner data, faster to the aftermarket,” said Ron Garand, vice president of Vertical Development. “Working together, we can remove costs from the supply chain. This in turn will reduce delays in sending data to resellers and other channel partners.”
Aftermarket manufacturers and partners like Vertical Development are working together through OptiCat’s TeamDIO program to deliver a consolidated data feed for reseller electronic parts catalog requirements. OptiCat’s data bank enables resellers to use a single source for timely and critical product, application information and digital assets necessary for selling aftermarket parts.
“We welcome Vertical Development as a premier member of TeamDIO. Its proven track record for many years will help OptiCat deliver on its do-it-once data delivery model,” said Bryan Thueson, OptiCat vice president of operations. “When looking for data management services, we encourage our supplier partners to enlist the help of our TeamDIO members.”
“There are too many redundant processes in today’s data distribution model resulting in lost sales and unnecessary costs for every channel member,” Thueson added. “The new relationship with Vertical Development will strengthen our ability to provide a more cost-effective and efficient model for data preparation and distribution.”
