Multi Parts Supply Collaborates with Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium on Industry Scholarships

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Multi Parts Supply (MPS), a multi-national auto parts supplier and supply chain management organization to the co-manufacturer market, is the latest aftermarket organization to offer its support to the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) Scholarship program. MPS will provide one $2,500 scholarship per year for the next four years, for a total of $10,000 in scholarship funds.

“We are pleased to be partnering with GAAS on this important industry endeavor,” said Ira Davis, vice president, supply chain management and marketing, MPS. “We hope our scholarship will provide much needed assistance to students planning automotive aftermarket careers.”

“We are very proud to have Multi Parts Supply as another collaborating organization,” said Pete Kornafel, chairman of the GAAS Scholarship Selection Committee. “Their contribution further enhances the value offered by the GAAS scholarship program as a ‘one stop shop’ for automotive scholarships.”
 
In order to qualify for the scholarship an applicant must be:
• Enrolled in a full-time, 4-year, college-level program such as engineering, manufacturing, marketing and business (graduate programs do not qualify).
• Planning a career in the automotive aftermarket.
• Focused in one or more of the following disciplines: manufacturing, marketing, project management, supply chain management, customer relations, IT, finance, logistics and general management. Special consideration will be given to students seeking a career in international business.

Qualified applicants also may have the opportunity for an internship with MPS, and potentially, a full-time position.

Applicants who meet the criteria, will now be placed in consideration for one $2,500 MPS International Aftermarket Scholarship Fund award to be presented in 2011.

Applications are now being accepted online for the 2011 GAAS scholarship, awarded to students planning automotive aftermarket careers. The electronic application is available at www.AutomotiveScholarships.com. The deadline to apply is Thursday, March 31.
