General Automotive Launches U-Joint Direct Import Program for January 2011

General Automotive's Undercar program will eventually include brake drums and rotors, wheel hubs and u-joints.

ORLANDO, Fla. — General Automotive Co. has announced the launch of its New U-Joint Direct Import program for January 2011.

According to General Automotive, the U-Joint direct import program will have some of the strongest application coverage in the industry, covering domestic, Asian and European makes. The U-Joint line will be produced at certified manufacturing facilities in Asia. All part numbers go through a stringent quality control procedure and will be validated for the U.S. market, the company says. General Automotive’s Undercar program will eventually include brake drums and rotors, wheel hubs and u-joints.

The company said the U-Joint program will be competitively priced and will be available through the OE Source private brand or through a private label program.

Through its joint venture with Taichi Automotive, General Automotive aims to specifically focus on the development and sourcing of quality automotive parts while cultivating new manufacturing and distribution opportunities. Through its China operation, General Automotive says it will be able to control and support its product manufacturing which will ensure quality, delivery and competitive pricing.

"We are excited to launch our U-Joint program for early January 2011,” said Neil Gethin, vice president of business development at OE Source. “This is another great example of how our new joint venture, General Automotive China/Taichi Automotive continues, to allow us to expand into multiple new product lines which are both of the highest quality and extremely price competitive."
