XL Parts to Install Activant Vision System

Company cites system's advanced functionality and flexibility, Activant's strong investment in product development as reasons for implementation.

LIVERMORE, Calif. – XL Parts has announced it will implement the Activant Vision business management system from Activant Solutions to enhance its operational efficiency and customer service capabilities.

XL Parts is a Ford Authorized Distributor of Motorcraft products and a member of the ACDelco Dedicated Distribution Group and National Pronto Association. The company sells direct to service dealers, fleet accounts and other customers through 55 wholly owned stores in the Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth and Oklahoma City markets, and operates a 5 acre distribution center near Houston. XL Parts has utilized the Activant Ultimate business management system for more than a decade.

In addition to the Vision system, each XL Parts store location will implement the Activant Dispatch and Delivery System, LaserCat 3 electronic catalog and Vista inventory modeling solutions. XL Parts also said it looks forward to deployment of new system features created by the Activant product development team, released as part of Activant’s support and maintenance program.

“Activant is our technology partner going forward,” said XL Parts President Ali Attayi. “They are listening to our needs and responding with creative, collaborative solutions. We look forward to working closely with their team to leverage the impressive capabilities of the Vision system.”

The Activant Vision system is a flexible Microsoft Windows-based solution for distributors that want to control costs through efficient inventory management and differentiate their businesses by delivering a superior customer experience, according to Activant. The system, which integrates with the JMO Indago solution and other leading warehouse management systems, is now in use by large two- and three-step distributors.

“The Vision system offers several distinct advantages for today’s distributors, including excellent CRM tools, a centralized database and integrated accounting,” said Paul Salsgiver, executive vice president, Activant Solutions. “It’s also a highly scaleable solution that is well suited to the changing needs of two- and three-step enterprises.”
