Activant Cover-to-Cover eCatalog Module Sets Single-Month Record of More Than 10 Million User Visits

Hits rise 63 percent year-over-year in March; eCat Module has logged more than 180 million total user visits.

LIVERMORE, Calif. – The Activant Cover-to-Cover graphical eCatalog module logged a record 10.1 million user visits in March, a 24 percent increase over February’s 8.2 million visits and a 63 percent jump over March 2009.

The Cover-to-Cover eCatalog module has attracted more than 180 million total hits, demonstrating its broad adoption as a primary sales tool by aftermarket distributors, jobbers and installers, according to Activant.

The Activant Cover-to-Cover module enables automotive parts distributor and jobber professionals and installers to access detailed product photos and illustrations, technical bulletins, installation instructions and other important information covering millions of replacement parts and other products.

"This explosive growth shows that the Activant Cover-to-Cover module is a true game-changer at the parts counter and service desk, providing critical information that was previously available only through print catalogs and other traditional sources,” said Paul Salsgiver, executive vice president, Activant Solutions. “The almost instantaneous availability of photos and other value-added information through this solution helps drive sales, reduce returns and increase customer loyalty.”

Activant’s March user data shows that 35,438 visits were logged in a single hour, 373,814 in a single day and nearly 2.3 million in one week – all records.

More than 5,000 distributor and jobber locations now use the Activant Cover-to-Cover module, as do tens of thousands of repair facilities that gain access through eStores, shop management platforms and Activant Value Added Resellers.

The Activant Cover-to-Cover module is available for use with the full suite of Activant PartExpert eCatalog products, including the revolutionary Activant LaserCat 3 application as well as the Activant ShopCat and Activant ePartExpert applications.
