BEDFORD, Texas — Warrantech Automotive, an independent provider of vehicle service contracts and aftermarket warranties, has announced a new marketing and administrative agreement with BP Lubricant’s USA/Castrol. The new venture, Extended Care, is a vehicle service contract (VSC) program that will be sold as an upgrade to Castrol Oil Club (COC) memberships, which is provided free to vehicle buyers with the purchase of a new or pre-owned vehicle.
Castrol Oil Club members have the option to purchase more comprehensive coverage such as a power train plan or full vehicle coverage, and all plans include benefits such as complimentary or discounted Castrol oil changes for a defined period of time. In addition, for the first three years of the contract, Extended Care offers a free reminder service to customers when it is time for an oil change. Extended Care also allows dealerships to earn oil rebate cash incentives with every agreement remitted.
As of April 1, Warrantech began handling Castrol Oil Club registrations from dealerships as new members enroll in the Castrol Oil Club program. Designed to help dealers retain more vehicles and get their buyers back into their service department, the COC program is free for Castrol oil customers, membership is given at the time of a vehicle purchase at participating dealerships. Similar to the popular Castrol SYNTEC Oil Club that was introduced to users of synthetic lubricant products, club benefits now extend to the entire line of Castrol lubricant products.
Castrol Oil Club members get extended engine protection for up to 15 years or 350,000 miles, full 24/7 roadside assistance for eight years or 150,000 miles and complimentary oil change or a Visa Gift Card reward with a paid Castrol oil change.
