Federated Auto Parts Selects Zurich as its Preferred Business Insurance Provider

Federated affiliates will access Zurich's direct sales force for coverage under its Unicover policy, the first single policy to meet the specific property and casualty insurance needs of automotive aftermarket businesses.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Zurich property and casualty insurance provider has been selected as the preferred business insurance provider for Federated Auto Parts. Zurich will provide insurance products for Federated’s more than 155 warehouse distribution centers, 3,800 jobber locations and more than 4,000 Car Care Center affiliates nationwide.

“We are delighted Federated has selected Zurich as its preferred provider for business insurance,” said Dennis Kane, executive vice president of Zurich’s Direct Markets unit, which specializes in providing commercial property and liability insurance for businesses that sell or service autos, trucks, motorcycles, industrial equipment and RVs as well as for automotive aftermarket businesses including automotive parts businesses.

Kane continued, “The Federated team recognizes and appreciates our unique commitment to the automotive marketplace, in particular the aftermarket, and the consistent delivery of our highly specialized products and services to serve their affiliated store owners. We look forward to a very beneficial long-term relationship.”

Under the new agreement, Federated will have access to the following Zurich insurance products: property, liability, business auto, garage, garagekeepers, commercial umbrella and pollution liability.
