Advance Promotes Jerri Hamlin to Vice President, Indirect Sourcing

Hamlin's responsibilities include the development, implementation and coordination of the procurement and purchasing strategy for Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) as well as the development and implementation of the Advance Auto Parts outsourcing strategy for indirect sourcing.

ROANOKE, Va. – Advance Auto Parts has announced the promotion of Jerri Hamlin as vice president, Indirect Sourcing. Hamlin’s responsibilities include the development, implementation and coordination of the procurement and purchasing strategy for Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) as well as the development and implementation of the Advance Auto Parts outsourcing strategy for indirect sourcing.

Hamlin will manage the company’s GNFR purchasing process to ensure that the company obtains significant savings and efficiency. Hamlin will report to Rick Coro, senior vice president information technology and chief information officer and will continue to be based in Roanoke, Va.

“I am extremely excited that Jerri has accepted this critical position,” said Coro. “Jerri’s experience and proven leadership will be invaluable to Advance’s transformation and will help increase our company’s efficiency and effectiveness.”

Hamlin joined Advance in March 2006, and most recently served as director, strategic sourcing and procurement. Prior to joining Advance, Hamlin served as corporate contracts manager for JM Family Enterprises Inc., a large distributor of Toyota and Lexus as well as a provider of financial services. Prior to her position with JM Family, she held corporate purchasing positions with Office Depot, Eckerd Corp. and Penske Truck Leasing. She earned her bachelor of science from the University of Texas at Arlington and also holds the Certified Purchasing Manager designation.
