Florida Aftermarket Association Merges with Automotive Aftermarket Association Southeast

AAAS now becomes a four-state regional association.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Florida Automotive Industry Association (FAIA) is the newest member of the Automotive Aftermarket Association Southeast Inc. (AAAS).

President Jarrett Liles of Connie Liles Auto Parts in Tallahassee, Fla., and Automotive Aftermarket Association Southeast Inc. (AAAS) Chairman Steve Kampwerth of Auto Electric and Carburetor Inc. in Birmingham, Ala., have announced that FAIA will be joining AAAS effective Jan. 1, 2009.

Liles stated that “in these times, it is more important than ever to rely on networking and the resources of organizations such as FAIA and AAAS. The consolidation of FAIA and AAAS will allow us to provide members in all four states with more services and stronger benefits in a more efficient manner.”

Kampwerth echoed Liles comments and went on to say that, “We are sure this is a very positive move and our members will see a stronger organization better positioned to serve them and the industry.”

FAIA Executive Director George Ehrhard will serve the needs of the Florida membership as Florida operations director for AAAS. Ehrhard will be focused on member services and programs as well as legislative and regulatory issues in Tallahassee.

AAAS President Randal Ward stated, “We certainly welcome the Florida membership to the organization and look forward to the energy, ideas and input they bring to the table. We are delighted to have George Ehrhard joining the management team and Steve Fink, Clyde Darville, Steve Wiggins and Jarrett Liles joining the board of directors as they bring years of industry experience to the association. With these great additions to the leadership and the combined strength of the greater membership numbers, we can only look forward to greater achievements as a four state regional organization.”
