Zep to Sell Auto Maintenance Products through Aftermarket Retail Channel

Company to introduce Zep Commercial UltraPurple Concentrated Degreaser into retail channels.

ATLANTA – Professional technicians and do-it-yourself consumers who purchase automotive maintenance products will soon be able to buy a retail version of Zep Commercial UltraPurple Concentrated Degreaser. This foaming cleaner is part of Zep Inc.’s new line of Zep Commercial brand automotive maintenance products.

Zep Commercial UltraPurple Concentrated Degreaser is designed to quickly dissolve stubborn grease and oil stains from engines, heavy equipment and unfinished concrete. According to Zep, this industrial-strength, water-based alkaline cleaner and degreaser tackles the toughest jobs. Its controlled foaming action allows for easy rinsing, and it maintains its effectiveness when diluted, for economical performance.

“The industrial and institutional version of Zep’s UltraPurple Concentrated Degreaser has been recognized and trusted for years among auto dealers, auto fleets, service companies and other larger-scale customers,” said Lisa Malloy, president, Zep Retail. “Now, we’re bringing a version of this professional-grade product to consumers and smaller businesses that prefer to purchase at retail.”

Zep Commercial UltraPurple Concentrated Degreaser will be available at major automotive aftermarket retailers starting in Spring 2009.
