SOMS Technologies’ microGreen Extended Performance Oil Filter Now Available to Consumers

By installing the filter, motorists can now operate their vehicles for up to 30,000 miles without an oil change, according to the company.

VALHALLA, Ny. — SOMS Technologies has announced retail availability of its new microGreen Extended Performance Oil Filter. The patented technology was announced last month, and is now available for consumers to purchase at www.microgreenfilter.com.

The microGreen oil filter has 2 filters in 1 standard spin-on canister, which ensures the engine oil stays cleaner, longer, saving drivers up to 65 percent on oil maintenance costs, according to SOMS Technologies.

By installing the filter, motorists can now operate their vehicles for up to 30,000 miles without an oil change, according to the company. This reduces the use of oil filters by 50 percent and decreases automotive oil use by 70 percent, reducing the potential for improper disposal of these hazardous wastes and helping protect our environment.

"Drivers are increasingly looking for ways to protect the environment and decrease automotive maintenance costs,” said Miles Flamenbaum, CEO of SOMS Technologies. “The microGreen filter was created to do just that. Previously, the filter was only available to fleet customers, but now every driver can take advantage of this advanced technology for their personal vehicles. It provides an environmentally-friendly approach to everyday car maintenance, while saving time and money for drivers."

The microGreen Extended Performance Oil Filter is compatible with any vehicle equipped with a traditional spin-on oil filter canister. Each order will include a 2-pack supply of filters. Based on an annual driving average of 12,500 miles, each 2-pack will typically cover one year of use.
