AKRON, OH — aftermarketNews.com (AMN) kicks off 2004 with a number of new editorial features that will provide readers with more comprehensive industry news coverage and useful advice for improving aftermarket businesses.

AMN will launch two new features in January, including “DST Asks,” a new technology-themed online reader survey sponsored by information technology services provider DST Inc.

The “DST Asks” electronic poll is very user-friendly, and your responses are completely anonymous. Simply read the question, click on the question’s link and select the button that best corresponds with your position on the topic. Then hit the ‘submit’ button and your vote will be counted. The survey also features an optional “comments” box for those who would like to say more. Every week, experts from DST’s management team will present a new informative column based on responses to the surveys.

Also new this month is “AMN Perspectives by Thomas Group: Experience at Work,” which will offer applied techniques for successful implementation of business objectives. Thomas Group is a professional services firm, specializing in improving strategic business processes. Twice a month on AMN experienced Thomas Group consultants will provide practical advice for improving your bottom line.

Returning for the second consecutive year, AMN and R. L. Polk & Co. present “Ask the Industry.” Ask the Industry runs every other Monday on AMN. One of our most popular features, “Ask the Industry” is an open forum for industry experts from every level of the distribution channel to weigh in on key issues and challenges facing the automotive aftermarket. Each issue is addressed through commentary from industry experts as well as AMN editors.

AMN is also working to add other useful features to the Web site in 2004, including a new industry directory, legislative pages and an improved Frequently Asked Questions page.
