ATLANTA — Mike Mrozinski, a manager at Capital and Auto National Truck Service in Albany, N.Y., was recently named the 2004 NAPA/ASE Parts Specialist of the Year.
Now in its fifth year, the NAPA/ASE Parts Specialist of the Year is awarded to a parts professional within the NAPA organization who demonstrates superior parts knowledge and business practices, a commitment to customer service and training, involvement in the community and outstanding service to the automotive parts, repair and maintenance industry. Judges include representatives from ASE, trade press, universities and aftermarket industry associations. Mrozinski was unanimously selected by the judges.
“Mike is very deserving of this award, and he truly exemplifies the spirit and ideals of NAPA AUTO PARTS, ASE and the industry,” said NAPA President Bob Susor. “It is our absolute pleasure to recognize Mike as the best-of-the-best.”
Ron Weiner, ASE president, agrees. “Superior customer service, quality standards and continuing education are integral to success in the automotive service business,” he said. “Mike has demonstrated his commitment to these benchmarks on all levels. We congratulate and thank him for setting an example for others in the industry.”
Mrozinski began his career with NAPA in 1985 as a part-time delivery driver. He has held many positions within the company since, including store manager. He currently is certified in the P2 Automotive Parts Specialist category, and consistently attends manufacturer clinics as well as NAPA and industry training courses. Within his community, he is active in Cub Scouts, Little League, charitable organizations and church and school events.
Mrozinski will be recognized at the NAPA annual meeting in Atlanta on April 3. He will receive a plaque and ring, $2,000 cash or stock and a trip to the NASCAR race of his choice.
This is the second year in a row that an Albany-area resident has won the NAPA/ASE Parts Specialist of the Year Award. In 2003, Brad Stefanic of NAPA’s Wolf Road store in Latham, N.Y., received the honor.
