HARTFORD, MI — Neil Peters Jr, former president of the Michigan-Ohio Regional Division of the Truck Body and Equipment Association (TBEA) from 1972-1973, died Jan 2, at home.
Peters had been involved in the truck equipment industry since 1949, starting as a parts counterman in Neil’s Automotive Service Inc., a business run by his father, Neil W. Peters Sr. The younger Peters served as the company’s service manager, salesman and branch manager; eventually, he became president of the firm. He retired from the industry in 1988.
