Bruce Mardar Joins Akebono North America

Akebono Corp. has named Bruce Mardar eastern regional sales manager for aftermarket sales. Mardar replaces Carl Schaefer, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year. Before joining Akebono, Mardar spent 14 years with Qualitee International, a supplier of aftermarket brake and clutch components, where he most recently served as national sales manager.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — Akebono Corp. has named Bruce Mardar eastern regional sales manager for aftermarket sales. Mardar replaces Carl Schaefer, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year.

Before joining Akebono, Mardar spent 14 years with Qualitee International, a supplier of aftermarket brake and clutch components, where he most recently served as national sales manager.

“Bruce brings significant experience in the aftermarket brake business and the automotive parts industry to our field sales team,” said Randy Mordue, director of aftermarket operations, Akebono Corp., North America. “He will be responsible for a key sales region as we continue to grow our aftermarket presence with a growing number of advanced brake products.”

Mardar’s new appointment is effective immediately. He will be located in Midlothian, Va.
