Reliable Automotive Completes Acquisition of Add-On Distributing

Reliable Automotive, a Kansas-based wholesale specialty equipment distributor, has completed its purchase of privately-held Add-On Distributing, Inc., a specialty automotive wholesale distributor headquartered in South Burlington, Vermont. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

OVERLAND PARK, KS — Reliable Automotive, a Kansas-based wholesale specialty equipment distributor, has completed its purchase of privately-held Add-On Distributing, Inc., a specialty automotive wholesale distributor headquartered in South Burlington, Vermont. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Add-On is a major regional wholesale distributor in the northeast U.S. The company serves customers in thirteen states with a wide variety of truck, auto and SUV specialty accessories and equipment. Add-on operates three warehouses in Vermont, Pennsylvania and Connecticut and a sales office in Milton, Penn. The company services automotive repair shops, retailers, car dealerships and specialty installers, delivering product through its own fleet operation.

Add-On will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliable Automotive and will retain its name and corporate identity.

Reliable Automotive is one of the largest specialty automotive distributors in the nation. The 80-year old company operates twelve warehouse facilities and eight sales offices coast to coast, serving both the U.S. and Canada. The company is privately held by management and C.I.D. Equity Partners of Indianapolis, Ind.
