STAUNTON, Va. — Federated Auto Parts announced its 2003 Vendors of the Year at its annual meetings held in Salt Lake City May 12-15. The awards were presented by Federated Chairman, Bo Fisher and Rusty Bishop, Federated CEO, at the awards luncheon held May 14.

The Federated “Vendor-of-the-Year” awards are presented annually to the suppliers who provide the best overall service to the Federated membership. The award recognizes dedication to excellence in the areas of leadership, marketing, training and sales support. “We have many fine partners and friends at Federated,” said Fisher. “We initiated the Vendor-of-the-Year Awards as a way to recognize some of the companies that stand out each year with their marketing initiatives, customer service and leadership abilities. The companies we chose for 2003 truly are committed to establishing an outstanding and long-lasting partnership with Federated.”

KYB America LLC, the world’s largest supplier of shocks and struts to vehicle manufacturers, was named Federated’s “Outstanding Vendor of the Year.” KYB was chosen for its continuous improvement and willingness to solve problems and move forward into the future. It was the first time KYB has earned this award.
