MEMPHIS, TN — Effingham Automotive Warehouse in Effingham, Ill., recently celebrated 75 years in business. This Parts Plus WD celebrated the milestone with a two-day booth show attended by more than 3,000 people.

In 1929, H.L. Dust and his son Clarence opened Dust & Son Auto Supplies, the company’s first parts store. Clarence’s son Nick eventually took over the business when they expanded into the warehouse side of the industry in 1955. When Nick passed away in 2000, his son Chad assumed his duties as CEO.

According to Mike Lambert, president of Parts Plus, the fourth-generation business continues to provide exceptional, personal service to its customers. “The turnout at their 75th-anniversary event, which featured booths hosted by several Parts Plus preferred vendors, illustrates the strong relationship between Effingham Automotive Warehouse and its customer base,” said Lambert.

The company is planning to add four locations over the next five years, bringing the total number of locations to 12, while continuing to sign its best installer customers to the Parts Plus Car Care Center program. The Parts Plus WD also plans to continue assisting installers in becoming better businessmen.

“We’re striving to work more closely with our installer customers to help them their grow their business,” said Chad Dust. “By focusing on increasing the installer participation in classes offered by Parts Plus University, we’re providing them with an opportunity learn more about the business side, the management side, of their operation.”
