FENTON, MO — AMS Automotive, a manufacturer and distributor of manual transmission components for automotive and light/medium duty trucks, recently named two new regional sales managers.
Jeff Phillips has been named the new Central regional sales manager for AMS Automotive. Phillips brings more than 21 years of sales and marketing management experience to AMS. He began his automotive aftermarket career as a district sales manager with McQuay-Norris/SKF in Pompano Beach, Fla., and was later promoted to Midwest regional sales manager, in St. Louis, Mo. After leaving McQuay-Norris, he joined Ace Electric in Columbus, Kan., as a regional sales manager. Most recently, Phillips served as the national sales and marketing manager for Ace Electric.
In this new role, Phillips will be responsible for sales and marketing functions involving all AMS product lines in the Midwest region of the U.S. He will be based in Fenton, Mo.
AMS Automotive has also announced the appointment of Gene Shaw as the northeastern regional sales manager. Shaw began his automotive aftermarket career as an owner of Redi Carburetor Co., in Mt. Vernon, NY. Since 1989, Gene has been an independent sales representative at Chick Capoli Sales. In 2003, he was named the AMS Automotive “Sales Representative Of The Year.”
Shaw will be responsible for sales functions involving all AMS product lines in the Northeastern region of the U.S. including eastern Michigan and northern Ohio. He is based in Stevensville, Md.
