BETHESDA, MD — Two years ago, Dennis Welvaert, president, North American Aftermarket Division of Dayco Products, LLC, a division of Mark IV Industries, reluctantly attended the Aftermarket eForum worried that it would be a “geek fest.” This year, he is the keynote speaker and will share how the presentations and education of that first symposium gave him the confidence to dive in to several supply chain initiatives that have had a significant impact on his company.
“There is a good ROI in supply chain technology and I walked away from the eForum committed to retool Dayco for the challenges of the digital aftermarket,” Welvaert said. “I encourage any of my peers, customers or competitors who seek clarity in what is taking place in supply chain technology in the aftermarket to attend the eForum this year.”
The eForum will include featured presentations, panel discussions, breakout sessions and a vendor trade show – all focused on e-commerce and supply chain technology solutions in the vehicle aftermarket. Topics will include sales force automation, customer relationship management, data synchronization, RFID, category management, data warehousing, e-marketing and more. Attendees will include technology, sales and business leaders from manufacturers, distributors, retailers and service retailers in all segments of the aftermarket.
The Aftermarket eForum will be held July 19-21 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago. Attendees may register online at www.aftermarket.org. Members of AAIA, AIA Canada, AWDA, MEMA and SEMA save $200 on registration. For additional information, contact Barbara Clark at 301-654-6664.
