CHICAGO — CCC Information Services has announced the winners of its inaugural CCC Outstanding Student Technician Scholarships. Totaling $25,000, the CCC scholarships were created to assist collision repair students. Working in conjunction with the I-CAR Education Foundation, students from five select schools have been chosen for their academic achievement, attendance and dedication to the collision repair industry.

The CCC Outstanding Student Technician Scholarship program awards scholarships to students currently enrolled at each of the five schools, and has a combined value of $25,000. Students must meet pre-determined criteria to be eligible for the scholarship. Schools participating in the inaugural year of the CCC Outstanding Student Technician Scholarship program were selected based on criteria that include ASE certification, use of the I-CAR Advanced Training curriculum and geographic location.

The recipients are:

— James Mikkelson and Tyler Seamons, attending Bridgerland Applied Technology College, Logan, UT;

— Aaron Smith, attending Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, WI;

— Nicholas Fuchs, attending Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, TN;

— Joshua Yost, attending Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA; and

— Paul Keney, attending Universal Technical Institute in Houston, TX.

“The selection process was very difficult,” said Jim Dickens, senior vice president at CCC. “However, it was encouraging to see how many qualified students are preparing for a future in collision repair. The education and skills training these students are receiving from their instructors is incredible. I look forward to following the progress of the students as they enter the workforce.”
